24 hour cancelation policy

At Four Oaks Day Spa, we maintain a 24-hour cancellation policy.
Any appointment that is canceled, rescheduled, or missed (no-show)
with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a charge of 50% of the service fee.
This policy helps us protect our staff—
their income, their time, and their ability to serve all clients who need care.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding
and respect for these guidelines.

Client Policies and Consent

1. Spa Etiquette, Conduct & Professional Boundaries

Four Oaks Day Spa is committed to providing a safe, professional, and relaxing environment for all clients and staff.

Clients are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally at all times. Four Oaks Day Spa does not provide sexual services of any kind. Any inappropriate comments, gestures, behavior, advances, or boundary violations directed toward staff members will result in the immediate termination of the session without refund and may result in refusal of future services.

Four Oaks Day Spa maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or inappropriate conduct.

2. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

Four Oaks Day Spa reserves the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue services at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Inappropriate behavior or conduct

  • Health or medical concerns

  • Hygiene concerns

  • Failure to disclose relevant health information

  • Safety concerns for staff or clients

  • Any situation deemed inappropriate by management or the service provider

3. Personal Hygiene

For the comfort, safety, and well-being of both clients and staff, reasonable personal hygiene is required.

If a client presents with an unsanitary condition, signs of a contagious illness, or any condition that may pose a health risk, services may be refused, modified, or rescheduled at the discretion of the provider.

4. Health Disclosure & Medical Conditions

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete health information before receiving services.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Medical conditions or diagnoses

  • Current or past injuries

  • Recent surgeries or procedures

  • Allergies or sensitivities

  • Pregnancy

  • Medications

  • Recent cosmetic or medical treatments, including injections, chemical peels, laser treatments, or other procedures

Clients agree to inform their provider of any changes to their health status before each appointment.

Failure to disclose relevant health information may affect the safety and effectiveness of treatment and releases Four Oaks Day Spa and its providers from liability associated with undisclosed conditions.

5. Massage Therapy & Skincare Consent and Acknowledgment

Purpose and Scope of Services

Massage therapy and skincare services are intended to:

  • Promote relaxation

  • Reduce pain and muscle tension

  • Improve circulation

  • Increase range of motion

  • Support overall wellness and self-care

These services are not a substitute for medical care.

Providers at Four Oaks Day Spa do not:

  • Diagnose illness or disease

  • Prescribe medications

  • Perform spinal manipulations or chiropractic adjustments

  • Provide medical treatment

Clients are encouraged to consult and work alongside their primary healthcare provider regarding any medical concerns.

6. Treatment Safety & Client Communication

Open communication is essential to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Services may include the use of heat therapies, including hot stones, when appropriate. Providers will monitor comfort levels and temperature throughout the session.

Clients agree to immediately inform their provider if they experience:

  • Pain

  • Discomfort

  • Excessive pressure

  • Temperature concerns

  • Any other issue during treatment

Adjustments can only be made when concerns are communicated. Our goal is to provide the safest and most effective treatment possible.

7. Cupping Therapy Consent

Cupping therapy uses localized suction applied to the skin and underlying tissues.

Clients understand that:

  • Circular marks commonly occur and may remain visible for 7–10 days or longer.

  • These marks are not considered bruises but may be tender.

  • Temporary soreness may occur.

  • Blistering is rare but possible due to fluid accumulation and individual skin response.

By consenting to cupping therapy, clients acknowledge that they understand these potential effects and voluntarily choose to receive treatment.

8. Maternity Massage Policy

Massage during pregnancy may require modifications for the safety of both mother and baby.

  • First trimester massage may be declined based on health history and provider discretion.

  • During the second and third trimesters, pressure and techniques may be modified for safety and comfort.

  • Deep tissue work may be limited or avoided depending on the client's condition.

  • Induction massage will only be performed at 40 weeks gestation.

  • Clients between 36 and 39 weeks seeking induction-focused massage must provide written medical clearance from their healthcare provider confirming that both mother and baby are healthy and cleared for treatment.

Four Oaks Day Spa reserves the right to refuse maternity massage services when safety concerns exist.

Anti-Discrimination & Inclusion Policy

At Four Oaks Day Spa, we believe that self-care, healing, wellness, and personal expression belong to everyone.

We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all clients, guests, contractors, and employees regardless of race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, neurodiversity, body type, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

We celebrate diversity because we believe our differences make our community stronger, more compassionate, and more beautiful. Love is love. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.

Four Oaks Day Spa strives to be a safe space for all people, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent individuals, people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and those who may not always feel accepted elsewhere.

Discrimination, harassment, bullying, hate speech, intimidation, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated from anyone, including staff, independent contractors, clients, vendors, or visitors.

We expect everyone within our space to:

• Treat others with kindness and respect.
• Respect personal identities, names, pronouns, beliefs, and boundaries.
• Recognize that different life experiences and perspectives contribute to a stronger community.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Any individual whose behavior creates an unsafe, hostile, discriminatory, or disrespectful environment may be subject to corrective action. Depending on the circumstances, this may include coaching, removal from the premises, refusal of future services, termination of employment, or termination of an independent contractor relationship.

Our goal is not perfection; it is respect, growth, understanding, and accountability. We recognize that mistakes happen, and we encourage open communication, education, and mutual respect whenever possible.

By entering Four Oaks Day Spa, whether as a client, employee, contractor, or guest, you agree to help us maintain a space where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and safe.

Together, we create a community built on healing, acceptance, and respect.
